Any swelling in the body which contains fluid is described as a cyst.
One of the most common forms occurs between the toes (inter digital)
And when was the last time you looked between your dog’s toes…. probably never!!!
Grass seeds or small pieces of grit can become embedded in the skin between the toes. It is a painful condition and bathing with warm water and antiseptic can ease the inflammation.
In some cases the cyst will burst by itself but if the site becomes infected antibiotic treatment is necessary. Sometimes surgery is required to remove a grass seed or other foreign body.
